Accuracy and Value of Knowledge

How do we know that particular knowledge is accurate and valuable?
When it works.
When it proves to be beneficial.
And whenever we test it - it proves to be correct.

The scientific approach to testing the validity of the knowledge is that under the same conditions, the result must be the same - for everyone and every time.
For example - we know, that if brought at the temperature of hundred degrees Celcius, water would start to boil.
Regardless of who performs this test - whenever and wherever - the result will always be the same.
Therefore, it confirms that this information is a fact - not a belief.
On the other hand, a proclamation that may be true sometimes - but not every time - can not be regarded as factual knowledge.

Letting unprovable beliefs and sentiments affect our thinking and behavior simply means we are frightened and vulnerable. We are afraid that if we do not believe in that particular belief, things might go wrong - something evil - something nasty might happen to us.

No matter how much someone highlights it -
No matter how much emotional weight is put on them -
in the end, all those beliefs that can not be tested or demonstrated have no value.
Time and again - Lord Krishna, Lord Buddha, and Baba Avtar Singh have said that a Gyani must be alert -
Always awake, and mindful.
A Gyani must use the faculty of the intellect - to differentiate between true and false - between right and wrong -
and act accordingly.
