The Gayaki style of his Sitar playing and his deep emotional voice touch everyone's heart. Most of all, he is a superb human, loving, kind, affectionate, and down-to-earth. He is such a big celebrity in the Indian classical music circles, yet he is always so humble and modest. 

I always cherish the wonderful, pleasant times I was able to spend with him.

I recently came across an insightful video on Indian culture and rituals.

At first glance, the title may give the impression that the video promotes a religious or political agenda; however, it is neither. (Perhaps a more suitable title would be: “Is Indian/Hindu Culture in Danger?”)

Instead, the video offers valuable information and profound insights into Indian/Hindu ideology, particularly in comparison with Western systems.

Although somewhat lengthy, it is well worth the time.

Understanding our roots and cultural heritage is essential — something many of us may have overlooked or forgotten over time.

Nonetheless, it is never too late to learn, and it is equally important to pass this knowledge on to future generations.

कल जब अचानक मुझे youtube पर हिमाचल प्रदेश का यह सुंदर राज्य-गीत मिला
तो मेरे बचपन की कई यादें ताजा हो गयीं।
मेरे बचपन का बहुत सा हिस्सा हिमाचल प्रदेश में बीता।
मेरी प्रारंभिक शिक्षा - प्राइमरी और मिडिल स्कूल कसौली, शिमला और पालमपुर-कांगड़ा में हुई।
उन दिनों, उपरोक्त शहर पैप्सू (PEPSU) के नाम से जाने जाने वाले रजवाड़ों के संघ का हिस्सा थे।
बाद में, ये शहर हिमाचल प्रदेश का हिस्सा बन गए - और शेष PEPSU प्रांतों को कुछ अन्य क्षेत्रों के साथ मिलाकर पंजाब राज्य बनाया गया।
चूँकि मेरे पिता जी PEPSU प्रान्त के सरकारी कर्मचारी थे, इसलिए उनका तबादला सोनीपत में कर दिया गया - जो उस समय नवगठित राज्य पंजाब का ही एक हिस्सा था - और अब हरियाणा में है।
लेकिन कुछ भी हो - इन खूबसूरत स्थानों के साथ जुडी हुई बचपन की यादें आज भी मेरे दिल में ताज़ा हैं।
