Life is not always a straight journey

Life is not always a straight journey on a smooth paved road covered with a red carpet or flowers.
Sometimes it’s a bumpy road with lots of ups and downs.
Sometimes it may move smoothly,
and sometimes we may hit a few bumps and speed-breakers.
Every turn and diversion along the way is not always predictable.

Sometimes we must get hurt in order to grow.
Sometimes we must unlearn in order to know.
Sometimes we must fail in order to achieve.
And yet - sometimes the vision may clear after the eyes are washed away with tears.
But nevertheless, life always keeps moving forward.
It neither stops nor moves backward.

Even death is not the final stop either.
All religions (and most people) believe in an afterlife, either on this earth or in heaven.

Giving up the effort to reach the goal would be the deterrent - a barrier.
If we keep moving forward with hope and courage, we can remove all hurdles and obstacles and clear the path ahead of us.
We could even take a slight diversion to reach the destination -
as long as we do not get distracted and lose the vision.
      "Seek, and ye shall find"
"Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you"
                                             (Bible - Mathew 7:7)
"Agaahan koo hi trangh- pichhe pher na modhada".
(Keep moving forward - Do not turn backward)
                                                   (Gurbani)
As Lord Krishna says:
Perform your duties to the best of your knowledge and abilities.
Fulfilling your responsibilities by treating happiness and distress, loss and gain, victory and defeat alike - you will never incur sin.
                            (Bhagavad Geeta 2:38)
Keeping an eye on the goal -
and keep moving forward with pure and sincere intentions is the key to reaching the destination.
                     ‘Rajan Sachdeva’

  1. Well said. Keeping oneself focussed; ever ready for learning; impeccability; integrity; purity of thoughts; with-no-credibility in what one profess & practice are certain specific keys to stay afloat in lifetime.

  5. Love your poetic words ...
"Sometimes we must get hurt in order to grow.
Sometimes we must unlearn in order to know.
Sometimes we must fail in order to achieve."
    ... and I added ...
"And sometimes we must give in order to receive."
