Speech is Silver - Silence is Gold

Speech is silver - Silence is gold.

The silence that guards you with respect and honor -
is better than a speech that may later bring you regret.

What is the use of such a speech or conversation which leads to remorse?

Some people have the habit of trying to provoke others.
In such a situation, silence would be better.
It can protect your honor - as well as remorse.

    1. Yes You are right -- But as I said, if the speech becomes a matter of regret later, then it's better to be silent.
We have to judge the situation - when to speak and when not to speak.

  4. Is silence on truth due to some vested interests is also a gold ? I feel that This type of suppression would not be gold. Therefore we should remain cautious to keep mum on issue to issue.

    1. One needs proper judgment of the situation - when to speak and when to be silent.
The point here was if we end up regretting after speaking then it's better to stay silent.

Once we've figured out and applied what to say and what not to....

    It's Gold.

Most of us are in search of this Treasure. And we shall find it with God's grace 🙏🏻
