Good people do not dwell on their goodness

Truly good people do not dwell on their goodness.
They never talk about it.
They never publicize and make a big deal out of their virtuous deeds.
They do whatever good they can and forget it.
Thus they can always be good - pure and humble.

On the other hand, people with selfish motives and false egos never forget their acts of goodness.
Even if they do a small act of goodness, they continually like to talk about it.
They are always looking for recognition and appreciation for their deeds.

A virtuous deed that is done for the sake of publicity is not true goodness.
