Mayaa Mohini - Sab ka man har leti hai 

Baday badon ko apnay vash kar leti hai 

Chanchal man is kay rang mein rang jaatay hain 

Daanish-mand bhee kab is say bach paatay hain 

Maaya say bantay hain saaray rishtay naatay 

Maaya mein uljhay sab rotay hanstay gaatay

Raaja rank faqeer sabhi ko ye bharmaaye 

Saadhu Sant bhi maaya-jaal say bach na paaye 

Mandir ho - ya masjid ho - ya gurdwaara 

Jis ko dekho maaya ka hee khel hai saara 

Dharm, siyaasat business har-jaa is nay gheri

Saari duniya dekho maayaa kee hai cheri

Rab say lekin jis nay naataa jod liyaa 

Vishay-vikaaron say jis nay moonh mod liyaa

Kaam krodh aur lobh pay jis ka ankush hai 

Na matsar na moh - raag na ranjish hai 

Aasha manshaa trishnaa jis nay tyaagi hai 

Prabhu Prem kee liv jis kay man laagi hai 

Jis kay maan ka bhaanda 'Rajan' phoot gayaa 

Maaya kay bandhan say vo jan chhoot gayaa

Daanish-mand    = Wise, intellgent, Intellectuals

Siyaasat              = Politics, Political fields

Har-Jaa               =  Every place, Everywhere 

Ankush               =   Control - Elephant goad, bullhook, a tool used by mahout for handling elephants

Matsar                =  Jealousy, Envy 

Moh                   =   Attachment, Bonding, etc.

Raag                  =  Fondness, Passion, Indulgence, etc. 

Ranjish               =  Feeling of anger, Bitterness, Enmity, etc.

Aasha                 =  Hope, Expectations 

Manshaa            =  Desires

Trishnaa             =  Greed 

Liv                      = Longing, Craving, Yearning, Strong desire, Eagerness

Maan                  = Ego 

Bhaanda            = Pot, Container, Vessel

The illusive Maya lures and spellbinds everyone's heart. 

It seduces and subdues everyone - even those who think they are grand and inaccessible. 

Fickle, inconsistent shaky minds get dyed in its colors

Even the wise and intelligent ones can not escape from it.

All relationships are created and retained by it. 

Entrapped in its illusion - people cry, laugh, and sing.

Kings, poor, hermits, and ascetics - all get misled by it.

Even Saints and sages could not escape from the trap of Maya.

Be it a temple - or a mosque - or a gurudwara

Wherever you go, it's all a play of Maya

Religion, politics, and business - everything is encircled by it.

The whole world, in fact, is a follower and slave of Maya.

But the one who has made a connection with God - linked himself with the Almighty.

One who turned away from vices, evil, and wickedness. 

One who has control over lust, anger, and greed

Has no jealousy or attachment - no hatred or enmity.

One who has renounced expectations urges, and cravings for more.

Whose heart is immersed in the love of the Lord 

Whose pot of ego has been broken 

From the bondage of Maya - he attains freedom.
