Those who keep on complaining about others believe they are better than them.
It's all because of their ego - the subtle ego hidden in the mind.
However, the fascinating thing is that in one way or the other - knowingly or unknowingly - almost everyone does it.

However, the fascinating thing is that in one way or the other - knowingly or unknowingly - almost everyone does it.
Teachers, students, husbands, wives, parents, children, politicians, leaders, and followers - everyone criticizes and complains about something others do. Scientists criticize religion and religious leaders claim they know more than scientists.
The fact is that more or less, everyone criticizes others and complains about them or what they do.
Some do it openly in public or some with a few selected ones - while others do it within their minds - without uttering a single word.

The only way to escape this phenomenon is to frequently watch our thoughts - honestly and mindfully —to consciously examine our thoughts and temperaments over and over again.
If we know and realize that we are also complaining and criticizing, then we can try to avoid it – and change our nature.

ReplyDeleteYes Uncle Ji, also what helps me sometimes is to understand that no one is perfect...even the ones who are supposed to be. We are all the same...Human Beings very mortal. Everyone has different gifts and is good at certain things but we all have our weaknesses.

Thank you

ReplyDeleteSelf-introspection is key.....
ReplyDeleteSome people know more than others, and though they realize it, they remain nonjudgmental of others. Then there are those who may not know a whole lot more, but are very judgmental and want to prove that they know more by their criticisms and complaints. I wonder why? What motivates them?
