Lal Bahadur Shastri - A Forgotten Hero

Today - October 2nd is Lal Bahadur Shastri's Birthday

But hardly anyone remembers this great hero of India - who lived and worked for his country - not for himself or his family.
His possessions at the time of his death were like of an average middle-class Indian person.
He could have also collected a large amount of money and properties like the other leaders and public figures - but he did not. He lived a simple and honest life - and selflessly worked for the good of people and his nation.
But unfortunately, he did not get the due credit and respect he deserved.
Because he was overshadowed by some more famous and popular personalities of his times - namely Mahatma Gandhi and his predecessor and successor prime ministers - Nehru and Indira Gandhi, respectively.

Nevertheless, he was one of the greatest heroes and selfless workers of India - rather - of the world.

Some famous Quotes by Lal Bhadur Shastri
