Saadagi, Sharm-o-Hayaa kuchh bhi nahin 

Aashiqi,  ulfat wafaa kuchh bhi nahin 

Hai zamaana kis liye mujh say khafaa 

Go meri ya'Rab khataa kuchh bhi nahin 

Chaahtaa to tha ki keh doon main bhi kuchh 

Soch kay kuchh par - kahaa kuchh bhi nahin 

Jaanay kya hai padh liya tum nay magar 

Main nay to aisaa likhaa kuchh bhi nahin

Jab likhaa - Sach hee likha hai baarahaa

Ma'sivaa Sach kay likha kuchh bhi nahin 

Aqs to sab ko dikhaata hai magar 

Dil mein rakhtaa aaeena kuchh bhi nahin

Why is the world upset and angry with me?

Though, I have done wrong - O Lord - nothing at all.

I wanted to say something in reply to them too.

But after thinking for a while - I said nothing at all.

What you understood is not what I said. 

Don't know what you read and understood -

I wrote something of that sort - nothing at all.

Whenever I wrote - I often wrote the truth 

Other than the truth - wrote nothing at all. 

Though it displays the image of everyone  

The mirror retains in itself - nothing at all.

Before the time and more than the destiny

What has anyone got - nothing at all.

Whatever I received, I kept on sharing it with others

What was left in my bowl?  Nothing at all.

The sad days will also pass one day.

Stays the same forever - nothing at all.

What is created - will be destroyed one day

Immortal and imperishable is - nothing at all.

What will you be able to take from this world with you?

Everyone professed this - nothing at all.

Your Lord resides above the skies.*

My incomprehensible Lord is omnipresent

A place without Him - nothing at all.

The distinction is in the vision, otherwise in the world

Right or wrong - good or bad - is nothing at all.
