ज़लील  Zaleel      =  बदनाम, अपमानित Humiliated, Insulted

Blinds are eyewitnesses - deaf are hearing the arguments (for passing judgment)
Canny and fabricators have dominance - and Truthful are being humiliated.

Why is there so much restlessness - so much desperation?

Why do people act so cleverly and cunningly all the time?

Everyone seems to be friendly in front of us. 

Why do they become enemies behind our backs?

Everyone is wearing a mask on their face 

Why do they have poisonous characters?

Everyone is trying to kill each other 

Why are people double-edged swords?

Everyone wants to know everything about everyone

Why is everyone like a walking newspaper?

इतने बेताब क्यों हैं

इतने बेताब - इतने बेक़रार क्यों हैं
लोग ज़रुरत से ज़्यादा होश्यार क्यों हैं

मुँह पे तो सभी दोस्त हैं लेकिन
पीठ पीछे दुश्मन हज़ार क्यों हैं 

हर चेहरे पे इक मुखौटा है यारो 
लोग ज़हर में डूबे किरदार क्यों हैं 

सब काट रहे हैं यहाँ इक दूजे को 
लोग सभी दोधारी तलवार क्यों हैं 

सब को सब की हर इक खबर चाहिए 
लोग चलते फिरते अखबार क्यों हैं

Jab lag hai Maya ka saath -- As long as you have money and position

Jab lag is Sansaar mein - hai Maya ka saath 
Tab lag chhotay aur baday sab joden aa kar haath 
Sab joden aa kar haath - kahen main bhaayi tera 
Chali jaaye Maya to bolen - tu kya laagay mera? 
Kahay 'Rajan' vipatti kaal mein koyi na aavai kaam 
Mithyaa hai sab Jagat pasaraa Saacha Hari ka naam

Translation:

As long as you have Maaya - money and position in this world - 

Everyone, small or big, respects you and meets you with folded hands. 

Everyone respects you and says I am your brother.

(However) If money and power are lost - then they say - who are you? 

Says 'Rajan' - no one comes to help when you need them the most - in times of distress.

Remember- the whole world is temporary and transitory. 

Only the name of Hari - the True Lord is the real solace in life.
