Raah dekhtay hain roz - Waiting eagerly

Raah dekhtay hain roz farishton kay aanay ki

Ghar kay darvaajay pay magar kutta bitha rakha hai

Translation:

Every day, waiting eagerly for the angel of peace to enter.

While keeping a dog at the entrance of the house - guarding the door.

In western traditions - the angels are dressed in white robes

- a symbol of peace and bliss. 

In eastern traditions, the dog is considered a symbol of greed and excessive desires. 

How can peace and bliss enter the house of mind if it is filled with so many excessive desires and greed?
