No act of virtue can be great

No act of virtue can be great if it is not followed by an advantage for others.
So, no matter how much time you spend fasting, no matter how much you sleep on a hard floor,
and eat ashes and sigh continually - if you do no good to others, you do nothing great.
Unless it helps someone more than yourself, it’s pointless.

  1. This is so true! I see people fasting and doing other rituals. The only thing they do not do is what they are suppose to do and what God wants them to do. Only a pure soul leads to a pure mind and to selfless acts of kindness with love. Rest all is BS! (pardon my French...lol)
