A bowl for alms can be filled

A bowl for alms can be filled,

But the bowl of desires can not.

The needs of life can be met,

But the wants and cravings can not.

Ultimately, happiness can only be experienced through contentment.

Because desires and cravings can never be satisfied.

When one desire is fulfilled, another is born. 

This endless cycle continues throughout life, and everyone gets entangled in this vicious cycle. 

True happiness does not come from outside. 

It comes from within.

And it can only be attained through contentment.
