भगतन की भगतिन बन बैठी बृह्मा की बृह्माणी।।

सद्गुरु कबीर जी फरमाते हैं कि -
ये माया मनुष्य तो क्या - विष्णु को ठगने के लिए लक्ष्मी
और शिव को ठगने के लिए भवानी बन जाती है।
ब्रह्मा को ठगने के लिए ब्रह्माणी बन जाती है।
एक सेठ हीरे-मोतियों के मोह में बंधा है
तो ग़रीब भी अपने दो पैसों का मोह भला कहां छोड़ सकता है?
भक्तों के मन में भी कुछ न कुछ पाने की लालसा बनी ही रहती है
ये एक अकथ कहानी है - किस किस का नाम लें - हर प्राणी माया के बंधन में बंधा है।
संत कबीर जी के कथन अनुसार - कोई भी प्राणी जो शरीरधारी है - चाहे वह ब्रह्मा विष्णु महेश ही क्यों न हों -
किसी न किसी रुप में माया के अधीन हो ही जाते हैं।

                   Translation:

We found that - 

Maya is the most incredible illusive power - the most sumptuous deceptive force.

It traps everyone with its threefold illusive nature and sweet ways.

It takes the form of Kamlaa (Lakshmi) with Keshav (Lord Vishnu) 

and Bhavaani in Lord Shiv's dwelling. 

It sits as the Murti - an object, a book, an idle, or an image with the priests in religious places - 

and the holy water in the pilgrimage.

As the queen in the king's house - and yogini of the yogi.

It's Diamonds for the rich and rags for the poor.

Brahmaani for Brahma - And desires for devotees.

Says Kabir, listen, my brothers, this is the untold true story.

Sadguru Kabir Ji says that -

this Maya is an extremely powerful deceiver -

It takes the form of Lakshmi to allure Lord Vishnu

And poses as Bhavaani to trick Lord Shiva.

She becomes Brahmani to deceive Lord Brahma.

The rich are bound by their fascination with diamonds and pearls.

However, even poor people can not abandon the attachment of their two paise - whatever small assets they might have. 

Maya allures the Bhaktas  - devotees for rewards.

The desire to get something or the other always remains in the mind of the devotees.

Sant Kabir ji says this is an untold true story -  

Every living being is bound in the bondage of Maya.

According to Sant Kabir ji - any living being who is in a physical form - even if it is Brahma, Vishnu, or Mahesh -

in some form or the other, they get eluded by the spells of Maya.

Tark      =  Abandonment, desertion, abdication, to relinquish, to give up

Mahav =  Engrossed - Immersed, absorbed 

Asbaab =   Material, Belongings, Possessions, Things

Kassaab = Butcher 

Aanten = intestines 

Naddaaf = Cotton Comber (person who separates cotton from seeds)

Dhunki  = a bow used by the cotton-combers

Zarf         =  Intense, vigorous, Also used for a pot, Vase & Capacity, or capability 

फ़ख़र बकरे ने किया

फ़ख़र बकरे ने किया मेरे सिवा कोई नहीं

मैं ही मैं हूं इस जहां में, दूसरा कोई नहीं

मैं मैं जब ना तर्क की उस महवे-असबाब ने
फेर दी चल कर छुरी गर्दन पे तब कस्साब ने

ख़ून - गोश्त - हड्डियां - जो कुछ था जिस्मे सार में

लुट गया कुछ पिस गया कुछ बिक गया बाज़ार में

रह गईं आंतें फ़क़त  मैं - मैं सुनाने के लिए
ले गया नद्दाफ उसे धुनकी बनाने के लिए

ज़र्फ़ के झोंकों से जब वो आंत घबराने लगी
मैं के बदले तू ही तू ही की सदा आने लगी

अल्पज्ञ और विद्वान

एक अल्पज्ञ - एक नासमझ व्यक्ति भी विद्वान और प्रतिभाशाली बन सकता है
जब वह यह स्वीकार कर लेता है कि वह नासमझ है
और ज्ञान एवं प्रतिभा प्राप्त करने का यत्न करने लगता है।

और दूसरी तरफ - एक विद्वान व्यक्ति भी मूर्ख बन जाता है
जब वह अपने आप को एक महा विद्वान और प्रतिभाशाली व्यक्ति मानने लगता है।
उसका उत्थान - उसकी तरक़्क़ी वहीं रुक जाती है
और वो कभी आगे नहीं बढ़ पाता।

Fool vs Genius

To Err is Human ग़लतियाँ भी जीवन का हिस्सा हैं

Mistakes are part of life.

But yet these resources do not diminish; they continue to increase. ||3||

Says Nanak, one who has such destiny written on his forehead,

Humility in Happiness & Patience in Sorrow

Staying humble when everything is good and favorable  

     - is not easy.

Keeping faith and patience in times of grief and sorrow 

     - is not easy.

Holding oneself and staying calm and composed in the face of adversity  

     - is not easy.

Not everyone can do this.

Rare are those 

     - who do not become proud and stay humble after attaining wealth, glory, and power. 

Rare are those 

      - who do not lose patience in times of sorrow and despair. 

Rare are those 

      - who can stay calm and composed in difficult times and adverse circumstances.

सुख में विनम्रता और दुःख में धैर्य

बहुत कठिन होता है
धन, वैभव और शक्ति मिलने के बाद विनम्र बने रहना

बहुत कठिन होता है
दुःख में धैर्य एवं विश्वास का दामन थामे रखना

बहुत कठिन होता है
विपरीत परिस्थितियों में स्वयं को संभाले रखना

हर इंसान ऐसा नहीं कर सकता।
विरले हैं जो सुख में अभिमान नहीं करते
जो दुःख में धीरज और विश्वास का दामन नहीं छोड़ते
विपरीत परिस्थितियों में भी अडिग और अविचल रहते हैं।

ज्ञान और विज्ञान

विज्ञान देता है हमें बाह्य जगत के तथ्य
अध्यात्म से मिलता है अन्तर्जगत का सत्य

दोनों में कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है
अध्यात्म - विज्ञान से प्रवास नहीं है

एक बहिर्गामी है - दूजा अंतर्मुखी
दोनों के ही ज्ञान से होगा जीवन सुखी

दोनों का अपना स्थान - अपना महत्व है
दोनों का हो ज्ञान तभी जीवन परिपक्व है

तर्क और विज्ञान पर न हो यदि विश्वास
अध्यात्म रह जाएगा फिर केवल अंधविश्वास

ज्ञान और विज्ञान - दोनों ही का हो सम्मान
तब ही हो पाएगा 'राजन' जीवन का उत्थान

                              भावार्थ:

विज्ञान हमें बाहरी जगत के बारे में बताता है - प्रकृति के तथ्य समझाता है
और अध्यात्म हमें स्वयं का ज्ञान - अंतर्मन का सत्य प्रदान करता है।
आंतरिक जगत का सत्य तो केवल अध्यात्म से ही प्राप्त हो सकता है।

और इन दोनों के बीच कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है।
अध्यात्म का अर्थ विज्ञान से पलायन नहीं है -
अध्यात्म का अर्थ विज्ञान को अस्वीकार करना और उससे दूर जाना नहीं है।

एक बहिर्गामी है - बाहरी जगत अर्थात प्रकृति का अध्ययन करता है - 

उसे समझने की कोशिश करता है
और दूसरा अंतर्मुखी - अंतर्जगत को - अंतर्मन को जानने और समझने का प्रयत्न है।
दोनों के ज्ञान से ही जीवन सुखी और प्रफुल्लित हो सकेगा।

दोनों का अपना अपना स्थान है - अपना अपना महत्व है।
किसी को भी नकारा नहीं जा सकता।
दोनों का ज्ञान होने पर ही जीवन परिपक्व एवं परिपूर्ण बन सकता है।

यदि तर्क और विज्ञान पर विश्वास न हो - तर्क और प्रमाण से काम न लिया जाए
तो अध्यात्म केवल अंधविश्वास बन कर रह जाएगा।

इसलिए आत्मज्ञान और विज्ञान - दोनों का ही समान रुप से सम्मान किया जाना चाहिए
तभी जीवन का उत्थान संभव है - अन्यथा नहीं।

Gyaan aur Vigyaan -- Science & Spirituality

Vigyaan deta hai hamen Baahmya jagat kay Tathya

Adhyaatm say miltaa hai Antar- Jagat kaa satya

Donon mein koyi Virodhaabhaas nahin hai

Adhyaatm - Vigyaan say Pravaas nahin hai

Ek Bahirgaami hai - dooja Antarmukhi

Donon kay hee Gyaan say hoga jeevan sukhi

Donon ka apnaa Sthaan - Apnaa Mahattva hai

Donon ka ho Gyaan tabhi Jeevan Paripakva hai

Tark aur Vigyaan par na ho yadi vishvaas

Adhyaatm reh jaayega phir keval Andh-vishvaas

Gyaan aur Vigyaan - donon hee ka ho Sammaan

Tab hee ho paayega 'Rajan' Jeevan ka utthaan

Science gives us facts about the outer world Spirituality provides us with the truth of the inner self. 

The truth of the inner world is found only through spirituality. 

There is no contradiction between the two. 

Spirituality does not mean migration from science - 

It does not mean rejecting science & logic and going away from it. 

One is outward, and the other is inward  

Life will be happy and elated when we have the knowledge of both.

Science and Spirituality - Both have their place - their own importance. 

Life becomes mature and fulfilled only when there is knowledge of both. 

If there is no faith in logic and science  

Spirituality will remain then only superstition. 

Therefore, Gyan and Vigyaan - Knowledge of Self and science - both should be respected equally - 

Only then it's possible to uplift life.

यह देश बिगाना है - ये संसार पराया है - हमेशा रहने के लिए नहीं है।

यह संसार काँटों की झाड़ी के समान है - जिसमें लोग उलझ उलझ कर दुखी होते रहते हैं - मर जाते हैं।

यह संसार एक झाड़ी के समान है - जो आग लगने पर जल जाती है - भस्म हो जाती है। 

कबीर जी कहते हैं - सुनो मेरे भाइयों, सतगुरु का दिया हुआ नाम अथवा ज्ञान ही अंतिम ठिकाना है। 

इसलिए इसे हृदय में - मन और बुद्धि में संभाल कर रखो और जीवन में धारण करो।

                         English Translation 

This is an alien country - a transient place - not to stay forever.  

It is not meant to last forever.

This world is like a piece of paper - it dissolves with a few drops of water. 

This world is like a bush of thorns in which people get entangled - get lost and die. 

This world is like a bush - which gets burnt when the fire starts and turns to ashes. 

Kabir ji says - listen, my good brothers -

The Naam or Gyan, given by the Satguru is the final destination.

Three Jewels

Prithviyaam Treeni Ratnaani - Jalam Annam Subhaashitam

Moodheh Paashaan Khandeshu Ratna Sangyaa Pradeeyatay 

Meaning:

There are Three Jewels on Earth: 

Water, Food, and Sweet Auspicious Words 

Fools, however, regard rocks as jewels.

त्रीणि रत्नानि - तीन रत्न

        पृथिव्यां त्रीणि रत्नानि जलमन्नं सुभाषितम् 
         मूढै: पाषाणखण्डेषु रत्नसंज्ञा प्रदीयते 

अर्थ :

पृथ्वी पर तीन ही रत्न हैं - 

अर्थात तीन वस्तुओं को ही रत्न कहा जा सकता है 

वो हैं - जल अन्न और शुभ वचन 

लेकिन मूर्ख  पत्थर के टुकड़ों को रत्न का नाम दे देते हैं

नलिनी दलगत जलमति तरलम्

          नलिनीदलगतजलमतितरलम्, तद्वज्जीवितमतिशयचपलम्।

          विद्धि व्याध्यभिमानग्रस्तं,लोक शोकहतं च समस्तम् ॥४॥

                                   अन्वय: 

      नलिनी दल गत जलम अति तरलम् - तद्वद जीवितम् अतिशय चपलम्

      विधि व्याधि अभिमान ग्रस्तम् - लोकं शोक हतं च समस्तम्

अर्थात- 

जीवन कमल-पत्र पर जल की बूंदों के समान अल्प एवं अनिश्चित है - क्षणभंगुर है। 

जान लो (याद रखो) कि समस्त विश्व - अर्थात हर प्राणी रोग - अभिमान और दु:ख में ग्रस्त है॥

सारा संसार अहंकार और किसी न किसी रोग कष्ट और दुःख का शिकार है।

यहां आदि शंकराचार्य - जीवन की अस्थिरता को समझाने के लिए, कमल के पत्ते पर पड़ी पानी की बूंदों का एक उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण दे रहे हैं।

जल की बूँदें कमल के पत्ते पर होते हुए भी पत्ते से अलग होती हैं - उस पर चिपकती नहीं हैं। 

यह इतनी अस्थिर होती हैं कि जरा से हवा के झोंके से भी फिसल कर गिर सकती हैं। 

इसी तरह हमारा जीवन भी अस्थिर और अप्रत्याशित है।

जिस प्रकार हल्की सी हलचल या हवा के झोंके से कमल के पत्ते पर बैठी पानी की एक बूंद आसानी से नीचे गिर सकती है - 

उसी तरह किसी बीमारी, स्ट्रोक, दिल के दौरे या किसी दुर्घटना के कारण जीवन भी अप्रत्याशित रुप में शरीर से विदा हो सकता है।

हम जीवन की स्थिरता पर भरोसा नहीं कर सकते। 

इसे पकड़ कर नहीं रख सकते। 

हमें नहीं पता कि अगले पल में क्या होने वाला है।

इसलिए, जो भी समय हमारे पास है - उसका उपयोग सही ढंग से करना चाहिए। उसका यथायोग्य लाभ लेना चाहिए।

 

                विधि व्याधि अभिमान ग्रस्तम् - लोकं शोक हतं च समस्तम्

अर्थात यह भी समझ लें कि सारा संसार ही अभिमान और रोग एवं दु:ख  का शिकार है।

प्रकृति के इस नियम से कोई भी अछूता नहीं है।

जिसने भी जन्म लिया है वह उपरोक्त लक्षणों से ग्रस्त है।

शरीर हमेशा या अंत तक पूरी तरह से स्वस्थ नहीं रह सकता - जीवन हमेशा सुख और आनंदमयी नहीं रहता।

मानसिक स्तर पर भी - हर व्यक्ति के मन में कुछ अहंकार और उत्कृष्टता का भाव मौजूद रहता है।

हर इंसान किसी न किसी दुःख और चिंता से ग्रसित है।

कोई भी व्यक्ति हर प्रकार से पूर्ण नहीं होता।

सभी गुरुओं, ऋषियों और संतों- महात्माओं की तरह, आदि शंकराचार्य भी हमें याद दिला रहे हैं कि यह संसार क्षणभंगुर है -- जीवन अप्रत्याशित है। 

पीड़ा, शोक और दुःख हर व्यक्ति के जीवन का हिस्सा है।

वह हमें जीवन की वास्तविकता का एहसास करवा के - अपनी प्राथमिकताओं को निर्धारित करने और समय का सही उपयोग करने के लिए समझा रहे हैं।

जीवन में लक्ष्य स्पष्ट होने पर ही संतुष्टि संभव है। 

जीवन का लक्ष्य प्राप्त हो जाने पर ही मन में संतोष होना संभव है।

और जीवन के उद्देश्य को जानने और समझने और उसे अपने जीवन में उतारने का समय अभी और इसी वक़्त है।

अक़्सर हम अप्रिय या कठिन कार्यों को कुछ देर के लिए स्थगित कर देते हैं। 

ऐसा सोच लेते हैं कि अभी तो बहुत समय पड़ा है - इस काम को फिर कभी कर लेंगे। 

शंकराचार्य कहते हैं कि जीवन अतिशय-चपलम - अत्यंत अस्थिर और अप्रत्याशित है।

इसलिए, जो काम अभी करना चाहिए उसमे ढ़ील नहीं करनी चाहिए - उसे स्थगित नहीं करना चाहिए।

संत कबीर जी भी यही कहते हैं:

         कल करे सो आज कर - आज करे सो अब

         पल में प्रलय होगी बहुरि करेगा कब?

अर्थात:

जो कुछ भी करना चाहते हो वो आज ही और अभी कर लो 

अगर अगले पल ही अंत आ जाए तो कैसे करेंगे?

इसलिए, यदि कुछ अच्छा और उद्देश्यपूर्ण काम करना चाहते हैं - तो उसे जल्दी ही कर लेना चाहिए - प्रतीक्षा नहीं करनी चाहिए।

दल = पत्ते  

जलम = पानी की बूंद 

अति तरलम = अत्यंत अस्थिर

तद्वद = इसी प्रकार 

जीवितम् = जीवन 

अतिशय -चपलम् = अत्यंत अस्थिर

विधि = जानिए

व्याधि = रोग, 

अभिमान = अहंकार 

ग्रस्तम = डूबा हुआ 

लोकम् = संसार 

शोक हतम = दुःख से त्रस्त

A drop of water on a lotus leaf - Nalinidalagata Jalamatitaralam

Nalinidalagata Jalamatitaralam Tadvajjivitamatishaya-Chapalam 

Viddhi Vyadhyabhimanagrastam lokam shokahatam cha Samastam   

                      (Bhaj Govindam – Verse 4)

Break Down:

Nalini Dal Gat Jalam Ati Taralam - Tadvad Jivitam Atishaya Chapalam

Viddhi Vyadhi Abhiman Grastam - Lokam Shok Hatam Cha Samastam

                                                Translation:

Like drops of water trembling on a lotus leaf - Life is uncertain - short and transient. 

And know (remember) that the whole world is prey to disease and ego - suffering and sorrow.

Nalini = lotus - Dal=  leaf -  Jalam   = a drop of water,  Ati Taralam = Extremely unstable  

Tadvad = Similarly, in the same way,  Jivitam   = Life - Atisaya-Chapalam = extremely unstable 

Vidhi    = Know further - Vyadhi  = Disease,  Abhiman =   Ego -  Grastam   = Possessed by 

Lokam  =  World  - Shok Hatam = Greif stricken, Samastam   = All

To illustrate the instability and impermanence of life, Adi Sankaracarya gives an excellent example of drops of water trembling on a lotus leaf. 

The drop of water does not stick to the Lotus leaf. 

It is so unstable that even the slightest gust of breeze can cause it to slide off. 

Similarly, our life is also unsteady and unpredictable. 

Just like a droplet can easily fall off the lotus leaf by a slight movement or a slight gust of wind - 

life can also unexpectedly depart due to some disease, a stroke, a heart attack, or an accident. 

We can not take life for granted. We can not hold it forever. 

We do not even know what the next moment is going to bring. 

Therefore, there is no time to waste. 

Whatever time we have should be utilized wisely.

 

The second part of the Shloka says:

           Viddhi Vyadhi Abhiman Grastam - Lokam Shok Hatam cha Samastam.

Further, understand that the whole world is prey in the jaws of disease, suffering, and ego - arrogance and conceit. 

No one is exempt from this law of nature. 

Anyone who has taken birth is prone to the above traits. 

The body is never completely healthy all the time nor it stays the same till the end of life. 

And at the mental level also - everyone has some pride and ego present in their mind. 

Everyone has some sort of ego and a sense of superiority.

Everyone is afflicted by some grief and sorrow. 

No one is absolutely perfect. 

No one is perfect in every field - in every way.

Just like all other sages and saints, Adi Shankaracharya reminds us that the world is transitory 

- that life is unpredictable - 

and that pain, grief, and sorrow are part of everyone's life. 

The whole world is a victim of pride and disease and sorrow.

He is asking us to realize the true nature of life - to set priorities and utilize time properly.

Satisfaction is only possible when the purpose in life is clear -

- when the goal of life is achieved.

And the time to know and apprehend the purpose of life and implement it in our lives is now.  

Usually, we postpone the unpleasant or difficult tasks for later.

We often think that there is still a lot of time left - we can do this some other time.

Shankaracharya says life is Atishaya-Chapalam - extremely unpredictable. 

Therefore, we should not postpone what must be done now.

Sant Kabeer ji also says the same:

        Kal karay so aaj kar - aaj karay so ab

        Pal me pralay hoyegi Bahuri karega kab?

Meaning: 

Whatever you want to do tomorrow - do it today.

What you want to do today- Do it now

What if the next moment, the end approaches - 

Then how will you do what you want to do?

Therefore, if we want to do something good and purposeful - then we should not wait long.

यदि हम कुछ अच्छा करने के लिए सही समय की प्रतीक्षा करते रहेंगे - 

तो हम जीवन भर प्रतीक्षा ही करते रहेंगे -

If we continue to wait for the Right Time - 

we might wait our entire life - 

and yet, we may never find the Right Time to do anything good.

Those who have the aptitude to be happy,

Life will be better and more peaceful if we can stay away from negative people 

- who are always jealous 

- always unhappy 

- and always complaining about everything and everyone.

When you need some understanding -

        Father is always there.

The mothers are more expressive about their love - while the love of fathers is usually invisible. 

However, even the strongest and toughest men have compassion in their hearts - they are not heartless.

They also have love, empathy, and compassion to care for their children.

A father expects and helps his son to become better than he ever wanted to be himself.

Good fathers always do three things - 

            They provide, they nurture, and they guide.

When I was going through a rough time, my father told me that even the most profound losses can be overcome  

- that we can still survive and succeed. 

He told me not to overthink things. 

He said nothing can ever be perfect - 

so keep moving and do your best.

He gave me the greatest gift anyone could give - he believed in me. 

He encouraged and helped me to become what I am.

He left this mortal world on April 24, 1994

Before taking any important decision or action, one should always consider the following questions. 

How are the circumstances - how is the situation around 

   - is it favorable or not? 

Who are our friends? 

       How many are there?

       Will they come forward to help and support when needed?

How is the situation in the country? 

     The law & order condition - rules and regulations - restrictions and constraints, etc. 

What's in the pros and cons?

What are the things for and against me?

      What resources do I have and don't have? 

Who am I? What are my strengths?

All these things must be considered before making any important decision or taking a significant step. 

In other words:

In order to succeed, we must correctly assess and evaluate our own potential as well the strength of the opponent. 

कोई महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेने से पहले

        क: काल: कानि मित्राणि को देश: को व्ययागमौ |

        कस्याहं का च मे शक्ति: इति चिन्त्यं मुहुर्मुहु: ||

भावार्थ:
कोई भी महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेने से पहले - या कार्रवाई करने से पहले इन प्रश्नों पर हमेशा विचार कर लेना चाहिए।
कि हालात कैसे हैं - आसपास की स्थिति कैसी है - अनुकूल है या नहीं?
हमारे मित्र कौन हैं? कितने हैं ?
क्या ज़रुरत पड़ने पर वो हमारी मदद करने और समर्थन के लिए आगे आएंगे?
देश में हालात कैसे हैं ? (कानून और व्यवस्था की स्थिति - नियम और प्रतिबंध इत्यादि की जानकारी)
पक्ष और विपक्ष में क्या है?
अपने पास क्या संसाधन हैं - कौन कौन से साधन हैं और क्या नहीं हैं?
मैं कौन हूँ? मेरी शक्ति - मेरी सामर्थ्य क्या है?
कोई भी महत्वपूर्ण और प्रभावशाली कदम उठाने से पहले इस सब बातों पर अवश्य ही विचार करना चाहिए।

अर्थात किसी भी कार्य में सफलता प्राप्त करने के लिए, हमें अपनी क्षमता के साथ-साथ प्रतिद्वंद्वी की शक्ति का भी सही मूल्यांकन कर लेना चाहिए।

Only vessels are different - Bartan mein hee bhed hai

          Kabeer Kooaan ek hai - Paani bharen Anek

To sing by drowning in the Swar Sagar - in the ocean of melody - is not in everyone's capability. 

Everyone can not do it. 

To touch the heart of the listeners - is not in everyone's capability.

Anyone can give a speech after reading the scriptures.

To shower nectar in their speech - is not in everyone's capability.

Thoughts and Sentiments are there in everyone's mind, but choosing the proper & ornate words -

Displaying those sentiments in a song - is not in everyone's capability.

Good Preachers - better than the others can be found at every corner  

To show the right path to the lost ones - is not in everyone's capability.

Everyone can read and repeat the words of wisdom, 

To adopt them in life - is not in everyone's capability.

Everyone's heart gets tempted by the colorful Maya of this world

To bring self-restraint in life - is not in everyone's capability.

It's easy to preach to love & respect everyone in the world

स्वर सागर में डूब के गाना सबके बस की बात नहीं
श्रोता के मन को छू पाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

पढ़ पढ़ के ग्रंथों को यारो भाषण सब दे सकते हैं
वाणी से अमृत बरसाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

भाव तो मन में होते हैं लेकिन चुन चुन कर शब्दों को
गीतों में वो भाव सजाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

उपदेशक तो मिल जाएंगे इक से इक अच्छे लेकिन

भूले को मार्ग दिखलाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

ज्ञान की बातें पढ़ सुन के दोहरा सकते हैं सब लेकिन 
जीवन में उनको अपनाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

देख के माया रंग -बिरंगी सबका मन ललचाता है
जीवन में संयम ले आना सबके बस की बात नहीं

कहना तो आसान है जग में हर प्राणी से प्रेम करो 
प्रेम से सबको कंठ लगाना सब के बस की बात नहीं 

बदलें जब हालात तो अक़्सर मन में उलझन होती है

क्या टूटा है अंदर अंदर - कैसे तुमको बतलाएं 

मन के घावों को दर्शाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

बातों - बातों में दुखती  रग पे उंगली  रख देते हैं

दुखते घावों को सहलाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

कुछ बातें जीवन में  अनुभव से ही सीखी जाती हैं
शब्दों में सब कुछ समझाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

कहते हैं सब लोग कि जीवन तो इक गोरखधंधा है
जीवन की गुत्थी सुलझाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

फूलों की खुशबु से घर आंगन महका सकते हैं पर

जीवन की बगिया महकाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

शक्ति के बल पे दुनिया को जीता तो जा सकता है 

पर सबके दिल में बस जाना सबके बस की बात नहीं

सुख में साथी बन जाते हैं - मित्र, सम्बन्धी, सहकर्मी

Affluence gained by Deceit

            अधर्मेणैधते तावत् ततो भद्राणि पश्यति।

            तत: सपत्नान् जयति समूलस्तु विनश्यति॥

            Adharmen Aidhtay Taavat Tato Bhadraani Pashyati

            Tatah Sapatnaan Jayati Samoolastu Vinashyati 

By crookedness and iniquity, one may attain temporary affluence and prosperity.

May also experience good fortune and happiness for some time.

Because of wealth, one can even win enemies - even the enemies become his friends.

But in the end - their fall and descent are certainly ordained.  

Wealth earned by crookedness and iniquity -  deceit and fraud ultimately leads to one's own destruction.

Those who take wealth from poor people in the name of religion & charity and use it for their own luxury and pleasure are doomed to utter destruction.

History shows that they may enjoy living a happy and prosperous life for a while - 

but eventually - their whole heritage is shattered and eliminated.

अधर्मेणैधते तावत् - अधर्म से प्राप्त संपन्नता

            अधर्मेणैधते तावत् ततो भद्राणि पश्यति।

            तत: सपत्नान् जयति समूलस्तु विनश्यति॥

        
अर्थात :
कुटिलता व अधर्म से मानव क्षणिक समॄद्वि व संपन्नता तो पा लेता है 
कुछ समय के लिए सौभाग्य और सुख का भी अनुभव कर सकता है।
धन के कारण अपने शत्रुओं को भी जीत सकता है - शत्रु भी उसके मित्र बन जाते हैं। 

परन्तु अन्त में उसका पतन एवं विनाश निश्चित है।
वह समूल अर्थात जड़ समेत नष्ट हो जाता है।

कुटिलता और अधर्म से - धोखे और फरेब से कमाया हुआ धन अंततः विनाश का ही कारण बनता है 

धर्म के नाम पर ग़रीबों से धन ले कर उसे अपने विलास और ऐश्वर्य के साधनों के लिए इस्तेमाल करने वालों का समूल विनाश निश्चित है 

बेशक कुछ समय के लिए तो वह सुखी समृद्ध एवं सम्पन्न जीवन जीने का आनंद ले सकते हैं लेकिन अंततः उन की कुल का भी नाश हो जाता है। 

Reason for most problems

Most of our problems in life come because of two reasons- 

Either we act without thinking 

Or we keep thinking - but never act upon it.

अधिकांश समस्याओं का कारण

हमारे जीवन में अधिकांश समस्याएं दो कारणों से आती हैं -

या तो हम बिना सोचे समझे कार्य करते हैं

या हम सोचते रहते हैं - लेकिन उस पर अमल नहीं करते।

Same Scenario - Different Perspective

A pet dog sitting in the owner's house was thinking -

Hey - The people with whom I live - 

They love me so much 

They have provided me a warm, and comfortable home. 

They feed me every day 

They always take good care of me. 

THEY MUST BE GODS

A kitten sitting in the next house was thinking -

I MUST BE A GOD
