In the memory of Dr. Ramesh Birpuri, Jammu

Dr. Ramesh Birpuri, Jammu - another great saint and a good friend, left this mortal world yesterday.
I had known him for several years now.
He was a very dedicated and a great saintly person who provided his voluntary services as a medical doctor at the Nirankari Bhavan Jammu for many years.
For the last few days, his son had called me a few times to give updates on his new treatment at a hospital in Delhi. Three days ago, he said Papa is responding to the treatment and is getting better every day.
Yesterday morning he called and said he is not doing well - please pray for him.
And just ten minutes later, he called again and said - 'Papa left us.
I could feel his pain.
It's hard to bear the loss of a loved one.
Though it pains a lot, but at least Dr. Birpuri's wife and the son Chetan were with him for the entire time he was going under treatment - serving him and taking care of all his needs.

While pondering upon this and the other similar incidences that happened within the last few weeks made me think about how we take our loved ones - family, friends, and everyone else around us for granted. So, we ignore them - thinking that we will see them or do their Seva sometime later in the future.
We like to think that they will stay here with us for a long time.
But how long? No one knows.
