Walking with a Torch

When we walk in the dark with a torch in our hand, we may falsely believe that we are carrying the light with us and removing the darkness along the way.
While in reality, it is the light that leads us to move forward on the right path.

Likewise, sometimes we think that we are marching ahead on the righteous path of Gyana - the knowledge and truth - and showing the way to others too.

While in reality, it is the Gyana – the knowledge that guides us on the path of truth.

We are Gyani – wise and learned – is false pride.
Gyana should become – not a matter of pride - but the guiding principle of our life.
As the ancient Rishis proclaimed: Vidya dadaati Vinayam'
Knowledge bestows humility.

Humility and modesty are the first signs of a Gyani.
On the other hand, pride and arrogance are the signs of darkness and ignorance.
We should lead a simple, honest, and truthful life based on the Gyana, which would also become an inspiration to others.
