Spiritual Realization is Not The End

If all you want is spiritual realization, then it may not be that hard at all.
There are so many seminars, lectures, workshops and online courses available these days - provided by so many great teachers, Gurus and spiritual motivational speakers everywhere. An average person - under the guidance of a good teacher, mentor or a Guru - probably will be able to achieve that spiritual knowledge in few months or a few years. It might be less than what it takes to become an engineer, a good musician, good athlete or an artist.
However, it is said in the Scriptures that the right Guru can give the Gyana instantaneously - if you are lucky enough to find the right Guru at the right time.

But the question is – once we receive it - then what?
Many of us put so much emphasis on achieving the realization - talking to friends and acquaintances about it all the time - that we forget to put it in context for ourselves. What really matters is actually walking the path of Gyana - maintaining vitality and staying focused on the ultimate goal until we reach the destination – the ‘State of Enlightenment’.

Let’s remember:
Spiritual realization is essential, but not everything.
Having light around us is essential but not everything.
What good would the light be if we don’t know what to do with it?
Light can show us the path - but we have to walk on it.
Light will only show us that our room is messy – we have to clean it, and fix it.

Therefore, the wise people do not emphasize light of Gyana as the ultimate goal.
For them, Gyana is the beginning – not an end.
