False Hope is an implausible chain

आशा नाम मनुष्याणां कदाचिदाश्चर्य श्रृंखला 
बद्धा यया प्रधावन्ती  मुक्तास्तिष्ठन्ति पंगुवत 
                                         " भर्तृहरि " 

Aasha naama manushyanam kadachidashcharya shrunkhala |
Baddha yaya pradhavanti - muktastishthanti punguvat   ||

"Hope is astonishingly implausible chain for man (humans)
Tied to it he runs around.
And when released, he sits down like a lame man".
                                                                   "Bhratrihari"


Tied with the chain of false hopes and desires, one keeps on running to fulfil his wants and desires; 
eagerly or desperately. 
And the one - who has freed himself from the binding chains of desires and hopes, becomes calm and stops running after unnecessary excessive materialistic desires - and enjoys life quietly and peacefully.
