We think we need a reason to be happy.
We always try to find a cause or create an event for happiness.
However, the happiness that starts with a reason - ends with that reason.
The happiness that comes with the things and the people we like, ends when we lose those things - and lose contact with people we love.
Happiness, which depends on the objects we value, ends when we stop seeing their value - when they are worn out and have no value for us anymore.
The happiness that comes with the events and celebrations is also momentary - it ends with the events.
Anything, which depends on conditions - causes and situations, changes when the circumstances change.
If we can learn to be happy without any reason or events - we can be happy forever.
