Moksha means liberation from all delusions; it is a state of mind.
"Mokshasya na hi vaaso’sti na graamantarmeva va
Agyaan-hriday-granthi naasho, Moksha iti smritah"
— Shiv Geeta 13-32
Meaning:
Moksha is not a place found in another Loka, another planet, or another plane of existence. It is neither a specific location, city, nor village.
The elimination of the veil of Agyaan—ignorance and false knowledge—that clouds the mind, is called Moksha.

In other words - it is a misconception to believe that Moksha can only be attained after death and we will be living on a different plane of existence.
It is also a misconception to think that someone else can grant Moksha to us - or it can be achieved merely by adhering to certain dogmas and performing specific rituals.

Gurus, saints, and holy Scriptures can help and guide us to eliminate the veil of Agyaan - ignorance and false concepts.
However, only by lighting the lamp of Gyana in our hearts and thus attaining the state of enlightenment, we can achieve Moksha.
