We are living in the era of social media.
However, everything we hear from someone - or read or watch on social media is their opinion -
- it may not be a fact.
Everything we see and feel around us is our perspective -
- it may not necessarily be true.
When someone tells us something and says: 'This is true' -
- it's simply their opinion of what they think is true.
It may not be a valid truth for everyone.
Perhaps we may never know what is true - at least not entirely.
There is a subjective truth and an objective truth.
Subjective truth is an individual truth.
It could be specifically true for an individual, a community, or a society
- not necessarily for everyone or the entire world.
So - next time, when you see someone talking on a particular subject and trying to influence you by emphasizing that what they are saying is the truth - remember that this is their opinion - it may not be essentially true for everyone.

ReplyDeleteYou're right ji. It's contemporary social media penetrated times, that "truth-in-letter and spirit" seems a tough, if not impossible, task. However, at end of the day, a stark reality gets dawned notwithstanding time, effort as well as loads of patience is involved. Anyways. A thought provoking read.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has their own opinion & it’ll differ that’s the way it is. 🙏🙏
ReplyDeleteVery good advice to follow
ReplyDeleteEven in our own minds, there are many gut feelings, impressions, opinions, etc., and very few things that we are certain about. And that’s the way it should be. Then we can be open to learning from changes.
