Not only our possessions, but also our attachments, our expectations, our wishes, and our desires are all luggage that we burden ourselves with in our lives. The lighter our burden, the easier our lives!
I couldnt agree more. We enter this world with zero luggage and leave with none as well. Yet during our life, we give it the upmost importance which only makes things more difficult spiritually.
I once heard someone state, "As long as you love the materialistic things in this world( meaning prioritizing them higher than God), you cannot love God." This relates to "the more luggage we carry, the harder the journey." In this case the journey refers to connecting with the Formless One.
