Soil's grip is always Firm - Mitti ki pakad majboot hoti hai

Tajurba kehata hai - Mittee kee pakad majboot hai
Sang-e-marmar par aqsar hee paanv phisaltay dekhay hain
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~
Experience says that the soil's grip is always firm.
Often, feet have been seen slipping on the marble floor.
Soil is a symbol of humility
and marble is a symbol of wealth - a display of splendor and grandeur.
One cannot maintain prestige in society for long by displaying the splendor of wealth and grandeur.
Pride of wealth and splendor also proves to be a hindrance - to one's own upliftment.
On the other hand, the grip of humility, gentility, and politeness is quite firm.
It finds a place in people's hearts and stays in their minds forever.
  1. Well said. But in contemporary scenario, culture of displaying of your wealth, status n pelf is prevalent. It's not realised that show off , in fact, cuts you from mainstream & affects network while resulting into alienation. People have been found hesitant in even speaking to such like. May be out of "Inferiority Complex".....Indians, particularly Punjabis are in habit of "Showing off" their pelf etc.
