Chintaa Aur Chintan - Apprehension and Contemplation

Din Chintaa mein dhal gaya Chintan mein shaam kat gayi
Aql-o-Fikr-o-Fun kee duniya  Pesh-o-Pas mein bat gayi
Na Masaayal hal huye na Chain dil ko mil sakaa
Na itminaan ho sakaa na zakhm dil ka sil sakaa
Be-basi Laachaari mein dil Raat bhar rota raha
Aansuon kay Neer say Takiye ko bhigota raha

Thak kay subah dam jo Sitaaray Falak kay so gaye
Ho gayin sunsaan galiyaan - rastay tanhaa ho gaye
Yaas kay andheray mein aashaa kee kiran dab gayi
Rotay rotay jaanay kab do took aankh lag gayi
Sooraj aakar khidkiyon pay dastaken detaa rahaa
Mein Gaflat ki chaadar odhay soyaa tha - sotaa rahaa

Hosh jab aayi to aakhir Raaz ham pay ye khula
Behtay Dariya kee tarah hai Zindgi ka Silsilaa
Chintaa bhee aur Chintan bhi donon jeevan ka ang hain
Jab tak hai jeevan to jeevan mein maslay bhi sang hain
Sukh-Duhkh har ik kay jeevan mein aatay jaatay rehtay hain
Khushi-gamee aur Hansnaa Ronaa - aatay jaatay rehtay hain

Lekin aqsar jeevan mein mushkil koyi jab aati hai
Chaltay chaltay jeevan mein koyi break agar lag jaati hai
Mushkilon ka jab koyi bhee hal hamen miltaa nahin
Aagay jaanay ka koyi bhi Raastaa dikhtaa nahin
Aesay mein har ik kay dil mein chintaa hona laazim hai
Chintan say mushkil ka koi hal khojnaa - waajib hai

Lekin jab koyi bhee mushkil Had say baahar ho jaaye
Saari Chintaa mit jaayegi Hriday Shaant ho jaayega

Yaad rahay jag sapnaa hai - jo dikhtaa hai sab maaya hai
Kuchh bhi Permanent nahin sab chalti phirti chhaayaa hai
Yahi Guru ka gyaan hai - aur ye Gyaan hamesha yaad rahay
Sabar Shukar ho dil mein to na Baaki koyi Fariyaad rahay
Nirankar ka Dhyaan agar 'Rajan' chitt mein bas jaayga
Chintaa Chintan ke badlay phir Parmaanand Ras aayega

                                   English Translation

The day passed in worry - and the evening in contemplation
The world of intellect, thoughts, and skill was split - filled with dilemma and confusion.
Neither the problems were solved - nor the heart could find peace.
Neither could it be satisfied - nor the wounds were healed.
The heart kept crying the whole night in helplessness
The pillow was soaked with tears

Finally, the stars in the sky fell asleep
The streets became deserted - the roads became lonely
The ray of hope was suppressed in the darkness of sorrow and despair
Don't know when I fell asleep while crying
The sun came and kept knocking on the windows
Wrapped in the blanket of negligence - I kept sleeping.

Finally - when I regained some insight, this secret was revealed to me -
That the succession of life is like a flowing river
Thinking and worrying - both are a part of life
As long as there is life, problems will also be there
That - in everyone's life - Joy and sorrow come and go.
Happiness and sadness, laughter and crying - come and go.

But often, when some complication comes in life,
When it feels like life is placed on a halt.
When no solution seems to be available
When no way to move forward is visible
In such a situation, it is natural for everyone to have worry in their heart.
Trying to find a solution through thinking and pondering is also justified.

But when any problem goes beyond limits,
When solving the problem becomes out of our reach
Then, let go of worry and pondering
and meditate on Almighty God - Nirankar
Focus your mind on Him, and chant His name from the core of your heart.
If the mind gets engrossed in meditation and remembrance of Nirankar
All worries will disappear - and the mind will become serene and calm.

Remember, 'The world is like a dream -
all that is visible is Maya.
Nothing is permanent - everything is like a moving shadow.
This is the Guru's Gyan - We should always try to remember this Gyan.
When patience and gratitude are filled in the heart,
There are no complaints and longings left in the heart.
If the mind is fixed on the meditation and remembrance of Nirankar
Instead of worry and contemplation, there will be nectar of everlasting joy and bliss.
