Somewhere, you will find Love - Kahin Prem milega kaheen ....

Kaheen milega Prem - to kaheen sneh ka abhaav milega
Kaheen milega apnaapan to kabhi kaheen algaav milega

Kaheen milegi prashansaa aur Kaheen aalochana hogi
Kaheen milegi sadbhaavna aur kaheen durbhaav milega

Kaheen begaanapan milega kaheen milegi aatmeeyataa
Kisi kay man mein eershaa hogi kisi kay man mein chaav milega

Koyi uthaana chaahega aur koyi giraana chaahega
Koyi dega saantvanaa to kisi say man ko ghaav milega

Kahin akaaran koi tumhaaray shatru bhee ban jayengay
Kaheen milegi mitrtaa aur karunaa ka bahaav milega

Kahin milegi Namrtaa - aur kahin maan Bal-Buddhi ka
Har insaan ka is duniya mein alag alag svabhaav milega

Chaltaa chal nishkaam bhaav say Sat kay maarg par 'Rajan'
Jaisaa teraa bhaav rahega vaisaa hee Prabhaav milega

                              English Translation

Somewhere, you will find love - and somewhere, a lack of affection.

Somewhere, you will find closeness - and somewhere, feelings of alienation.

Sometimes, you will find praise and sometimes criticism.

Somewhere, you will find goodwill - and somewhere ill-will.

Some people will lift you - and some will bring you down.

Some will console you - and some will hurt your feelings.

Somewhere, you will find alienation - and somewhere, you will find intimacy.

Some will have jealousy in their hearts - some will have a liking for you.

Some people will become your enemy without any reason.

With some, you will find friendship and a flow of compassion.

In some, you will find humility - and in others, the arrogance of their power and intellect.

Everyone in this world has a different nature - a specific nature of their own.

Keep moving ahead on the path of Truth & righteousness with feelings of selflessness - O' Rajan.

In the end - the outcome will be according to your own true sentiments and presumptions.

Hamaaray Paanv ka Kaanta -- The Thorn in our foot

Na hum-safar, na kisi hum-nasheen say niklega
Hamaaray paanv ka kaanta - hamin say niklega
                                          (Writer unknown)

                     Translation:

Neither by a companion nor a loved one or wellwisher can be taken out.
The thorn in our foot* - can only be pulled out - by no one else - but us.
                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*The foot here is used as a metaphor for the mind.
With this analogy, the writer wants to convey that no one can remove the thorns - the vices or wickedness from our minds by waving a magic wand or something.
We must remove them ourselves and replace them with good and kind thoughts.
Gurus, teachers, wise scholars, and kind people can inspire and motivate us.
They can show us the path, but ultimately, we must walk ourselves.
No one else can walk on our desired path in our place.
Whatever is needed, we have to do it ourselves.
                                       " Rajan Sachdeva "
हमारे पाँव का काँटा
        न हम-सफ़र न किसी हम-नशीं से निकलेगा
           हमारे पाँव का काँटा - हमीं से निकलेगा
अनुवाद:
न तो कोई साथी, न ही कोई प्रिय या शुभचिंतक हमारे पाँव का काँटा निकाल सकता है।
हमारे पाँव का काँटा* - हमें स्वयं ही निकालना होगा।
इस शेर में पाँव शब्द का उपयोग एक रुपक अथवा अलंकार के रुप में किया गया है।
यहाँ शायर ये कहना चाहता है कि कोई दूसरा इंसान - चाहे वो हमारा कितना भी हितैषी क्यों न हो - कोई जादू की छड़ी हिला कर हमारे मन से कांटों अर्थात बुराइयों को दूर नहीं कर सकता।
वो हमें स्वयं ही दूर करनी होंगी और उन्हें अच्छे, नेक और शुभ विचारों से बदलना होगा।
गुरुजन, संतजन, नेक और सज्जन लोग एवं धर्म ग्रन्थ और शास्त्र हमें प्रेरणा दे सकते हैं - हमें रास्ता दिखा सकते हैं -
लेकिन चलना तो हमें स्वयं ही पड़ेगा।
हमारी जगह कोई और हमारे वांछित रास्ते पर नहीं चल सकता।
Soil's grip is always Firm - Mitti ki pakad majboot hoti hai
Tajurba kehata hai - Mittee kee pakad majboot hai
Sang-e-marmar par aqsar hee paanv phisaltay dekhay hain
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~

Experience says that the soil's grip is always firm.
Often, feet have been seen slipping on the marble floor.

Soil is a symbol of humility
and marble is a symbol of wealth - a display of splendor and grandeur.

One cannot maintain prestige in society for long by displaying the splendor of wealth and grandeur.
Pride of wealth and splendor also proves to be a hindrance - to one's own upliftment.

On the other hand, the grip of humility, gentility, and politeness is quite firm.
It finds a place in people's hearts and stays in their minds forever.
