Dil kay behlaany ko 'Ghalib' ye khyaal achhaa hai

Husn-e-mah garche ba-hangaam-e-kamaal achhaa hai
Us say Meraa Mah-e-khursheed-e-jamaal achhaa hai

Bosaa detay nahin or dil pay hai har lehzaa nigaah
Jee may kehtay hain ki muft aaye to maal achhaa hai

Aur bazaar say lay aaye agar toot gayaa
Saagar-e-jam say mera jaam-e-sifaal achhaa hai

Betalab dain to mazaa us me sivaa miltaa hai
Vo gadaa jis ko na ho khu-e-savaal achhaa hai

Ham-sukhan teshay nay Farhaad ko Sheerin sa kiyaa
Jis tarah kaa ki kisee me ho kamaal achhaa hai

Qatraa Dariya me jo mil jaye to dariya ho jaaye
Kaam achhaa hai vo jis ka ki muaal achhaa hai

Un kay dekhay say aa jaati hai munh pay raunak
Vo Samajhtay hain ki beemaar kaa haal achhaa hai

Dekhiye paatay hain ushaaq buton say kya faiz
Ik Brahman nay kahaa hai ye saal achhaa hai

Ham ko maaloom hai jannat ki haqeeqat lekin
Dil kay behlaany ko 'Ghalib' ye khyaal achhaa hai

What you have - even if it is of clay - is better than the gold or silver or diamond jewelry of others.

That is, instead of being jealous of others, if there is a feeling of satisfaction in the mind, then there is peace in life.
