O my mind, remember - meditate upon the Lord’s name 
Your life is passing without chanting His name.

Just as Astra (Long range weapons) without Tantra - instrument (like arrows without the bow - bullets without the gun), 

the night without the moon, the earth without rain.
Just as a tree (is barren) without fruits —so is a man without the Lord’s name.

Just as a well without water, a cow without milk, a house without a lamp (Light)
Just as a Pandit without Veda (Knowledge - Gyan) (is incomplete) —so is a man without the Lord’s name.

Just as a body without eyes, a tongue without speech, a bird without wings,
Just as a child without a father (is orphan) —so is a man without the Lord’s name.

O Saints, renounce (control) desire, anger, greed, attachment, and pride,
Says Kabir —listen, O seekers! - no one truly belongs to you in this world.

Astra                   =  Long range weapon like Arrows, bullets, misiles, etc. 

Tantra                =  Instrument

         For example -  Arrow is Astra and the Bow is Tantra- a Bullet is Astra and the Gun is Tantra

Koop                    = Well, Source of water 

Dhenu                  = Cow

Chheer                 = Milk

Ved Viheena       = Without Gyana or Knowledge 

Deh                      = Body

Nain                     = Eyes

Jihva                    = Tongue

Bain                      = Speech

Panchhi               = Bird

Poot                     = Child

Baap Viheena    = Without Father
