No one remains forever - Na koi thir raheyaa

Sheikh Hayaati jag - Na koi thir raheyaa

Jis aasan hum baithay katay bais gayaa

                     ' Sheikh Farid"

O Sheikh, no one has remained here forever.

The seat that we hold and sit upon now, many have sat on it before and departed. 

              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nothing is permanent in this world - not wealth, not power, nor any higher position or prestigious title. 

The throne or the seat of authority one is sitting upon today, many have sat on it before - 

Many have held that position before and departed from the world, as even life itself is not permanent. 

And yet, whoever attains a higher seat of position, a prestigious title, begins to think they are invincible, undefeatable, and they can control the world and do whatever they want to do. 

Sheikh Farid reminds us of the impermanence of life. 

That one day, we too, will leave this world regardless of what position we hold. 

Therefore, one should not be arrogant, but humble, not judgmental, but kind and understanding.
