Kabeer Kasauti Raam ki Jhootha Tikay na koye

Kabeer Kasauti Raam ki Jhootha Tikay na koye
Raam kasauti so sahay jo mar jeevaa hoye

                     कबीर कसौटी राम की झूठा टिके ना कोई
                         राम कसौटी सो सहे जो मर जीवा होए

                     English Translation
Kabir: On the touchstone of Ram, no falsehood can remain.
Only one who has died and been reborn again - has become alive again can stand this test.
                           OR
Nothing false can survive when tested by the truth of Ram (righteousness)
He alone transcends death who is proven true in this divine light.

                            Explanation:
Falsehood dissolves on the touchstone of divine truth.
He alone transcends death who is proven true in the light of Ram, the ultimate Truth.

"Ram ki kasauti" (the touchstone of Ram) symbolizes truth, righteousness, and purity.
Satguru Kabir ji says that just as a touchstone reveals real gold, the kasauti of Ram or Tattav Gyan - the knowledge of  Truth exposes all falsehood.

A kasauti (touchstone) was used to test the purity of gold.
In this metaphor, Ram (or divine truth) is the ultimate test of what is real and pure.
Kabir ji is not referring to Ram just as a person or a deity.
Ram is a symbol - a symbol of ultimate truth, purity, Dharma, and righteousness.

Any falsehood, ego, hypocrisy, or spiritual pretense cannot survive in the presence of Truth. They get exposed and fall apart.
Only the one who endures this test and always remains true, pure, and holy from within is truly awakened.

"Jo mar jiva hoye" - means - death of ego, death of Maya - delusion and superstition, and death of self-delusion.
It's like they have died and been reborn again.
They have abandoned ego and illusion and are born anew - a spiritual rebirth.

Such people are connected to Ram - always aligned with the eternal truth or God, and never truly die.
They become one with the truth and attain the state of Moksha - eternal life or liberation.
The body may perish, but people of truth live on eternally through their actions, virtues, and connection with the divine.
They achieve Moksha - their Atma or essence merges with the eternal.

This message of Kabir Ji seems even more appropriate in today’s age, where external glitter and false pretension seem to be more valuable than truth.
In this couplet, Kabir Ji inspires us to follow the path of truth.
He says, “Connect with Ram, connect with Truth – only then will your life become true and immortal."
