कहानी बन के रह जाएंगे One day, we will be just a story

कुल मिला कर देखूं गर, तो ज़िंदगानी अच्छी थी 

रास्ते समतल न थे, फिर भी रवानी अच्छी थी 

इक दिन 'राजन' भी कहानी बन के रह जाएगा, पर

लोग सुन के ये कहें  कि ' ये कहानी अच्छी थी '

Kul milaa kar dekhoon gar, to zindgaani acchi thi 

Raastay samtal na thay, phir bhi ravaani acchi thi 

Ik din 'Rajan' bhi kahaani ban ke rah jaayega, par 

Log sun kay yeh kahen ki ' yeh kahaani acchi thi '

Looking back, all in all, life was good 

Though all paths were not smooth, yet the journey flowed well.

One day, 'Rajan' too will become nothing but a story, 

However, when people hear it, they should say, "It was a good story."
