Whenever the energy of
our consciousness is weak, mind takes over and we become emotional.
When
the emotions become dominant, we become restless and agitated.
According
to the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, solution is the “Saakshi-Bhaava”; to
detach our self from the situation and become an ‘observer’, a witness.
Detach
from the sense of being the ‘doer’ or the subject, stand back and simply watch
the inner storm pass.
It’s
like sitting inside a secured home and watching a storm through the window.
Detached
observation withdraws the energy which the emotions require to sustain them.
If
we watch our own anger, it dies.
If
we watch our own ego, it shatters.
But
if we don’t, then it becomes our master.

Saakshi Nirpekshah Sukham Char” (Ashtavakra Gita 15:4)
“By
becoming unbiased; ‘Detached Observer’, stay happy and peaceful forever.” (Ashtavakra Gita 15:4)
