So true! Our behavior and hence character become distorted if we stop being ourselves and focus on pleasing others. It doesn’t mean becoming careless and stubborn either. Let the true values (Gurmat) guide you way and just be yourself. I like this quote as well “ Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner.” Lao Tzu
