Koi chahay kuchh kahay - Whatever others may say

Koi chahay kuchh kahay Tum ba-sha'uur hee raho
Poornima kay chaand ki tarah pur-noor hee raho

Na behas me 'Rajan' pado, aur naa maghroor hee raho
Miltay nahin vichaar jin say - un say door hee raho
                     " Rajan Sachdeva "

Ba-sha'uur      = civilized, well-mannered, well-behaved, prudent - one who maintains prudence and good manners

Purnoor            =  Radiant, Bright,  Shining
Maghroor         =   Arrogant, Proud, Egotistic, Drunken with pride

                        English Translation

Regardless of what others may say — Stay wise, mindful, and serene.
Remain calm and radiant - Like the full moon in the sky.

Do not argue, says Rajan, nor be filled with arrogance and pride.
But stay away from those whose thoughts don't align with yours.

                       Avoid debate, and never be vain
From minds that clash with yours — gently refrain.
                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wrote these lines as a gentle reminder to myself —
To stay calm, centered, and luminous, no matter what others or the world may say.
           " Kuch to log kahengay, Logon ka kaam hai kehnaa
            Chhodo bekaar ki baaton me kahin beet na jaye raina"
"People will talk — it's what they do.
Don’t waste the night fretting over things that don’t matter."
In other words:
Don’t waste your precious time worrying about what people say —
They will talk anyway.
Wisdom doesn’t seek applause, nor require approval from others.
It doesn’t crave validation in debates and arguments.
True peace often lies in choosing silence over conflict, and distance over disharmony.
Sometimes, it’s wiser to walk away from those who refuse to understand you.
Do not lose your peace and inner light trying to convince those who simply want to argue and disagree with you.
Let your thoughts flow where they are received, and your presence glow where it is cherished.
                                                    — Rajan Sachdeva
